Irina Bazik is a Serbian pianist and researcher residing in Toronto, Canada. Her current research focuses on the unknown 19th century female composer-pianists.

“For Liza” is an homage to my wonderful piano professor Mirjana Šuica-Babić. Each piece serves as a ‘secret’ message to her: From the C Sharp Minor Nocturne (the first piece we worked on together) to the A Minor Mazurka (one of the last pieces she ever recorded), this album is a journey through our years together.
